The Australia Awards are prestigious international scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government. They offer the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia and for high-achieving Australians to do the same overseas.
Applications for Australia Awards postgraduate scholarships for 2017 intake are open from 1 February 2016 to 30 April 2016.
Priority areas for 2017 intake include effective economic institutions and infrastructure, human development for a productive and healthy society and an inclusive society through effective governance.
Awards are available to applicants from the public sector, civil society organisations and the private sectors, particularly women, people with disabilities and those from Geographic Focus Areas (GFAs).
The best and brightest candidates will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership qualities, English skills and their potential to contribute to development in Indonesia.
Awardees will have the chance to study and experience life in Australia, to gain skills and knowledge, to drive economic and social development in Indonesia, and to build strong links with Australia.
Successful graduates will become part of the Australia Awards Global and Indonesia alumni network, a vast and actively supported community of influential alumni.
For more than 60 years, the Australia Awards have been an essential part of the Australian Government’s partnership with Indonesia. In the last 15 years alone, more than 5000 Indonesians have been awarded an Australia Award Scholarship to study in Australia.
