Joe Bonamassa Torch Bearer Guitar Scholarship, Musicians Institute, USA

The Joe Bonamassa Torch Bearer Scholarship (sponsored by the Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation) is a one year “full-ride” scholarship created to directly encourage and support the educational growth of a newly enrolling Guitar Program student at Musicians Institute.

The scholarship (tuition discount only- no refund or cash value) will be awarded in Fall 2015 to a new student (US or non-US citizens) enrolling in the Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s Degree in Performance (Guitar) program who demonstrates overall outstanding musicianship, advanced skills and the potential for developing their own individual sound or unique voice on the instrument in any style or genre.

The Joe Bonamassa Guitar Scholarship

The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the AA or Bachelor’s Degree Guitar performance program only, and may not be transferred to “non- performance program” emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft) within an AA or Bachelor’s degree.

Award
$35,000.00 tuition credit ONLY. Full tuition for one year. ($8,750.00 per quarter for the first four consecutive quarters of the program as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory progress).

Awardee must maintain enrollment at 12 units (fulltime status) during the full length of award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in AA or Bachelor’s (Guitar) program for the full duration of the scholarship may result in withdrawal of the award.

Eligibility

  1. Newly enrolling AA and Bachelor’s (Guitar) students only.
  2. U.S. citizen and non-U.S. citizen.
  3. Awardee must maintain continuous enrollment at 12 units (full-time status) during the full length of award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in AA or Bachelor’s (Guitar) program for the full duration of the scholarship may result in withdrawal of the award.

Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
