RMIT University AustraliaThe Boeing Scholarships are offered to students of RMIT University in support of Boeing’s International Education Philosophical Guidelines.

These scholarships are for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have demonstrated technical or business aptitude and are either a high achiever and/or financially/educationally disadvantaged and enrolled in disciplines of significance or merit to Boeing.

Value and duration
Each scholarship is valued at $3000 for one year.

Number of scholarships available
In 2014 there are five undergraduate and three postgraduate scholarships available.

Undergraduate

  • Two Boeing Scholarships of $3000 for undergraduate students enrolled in a single or double degree who have completed between 72 and 144 credit points.
  • One Boeing Scholarship of $3000 for a female undergraduate student enrolled in a single or double degree who has completed 72 credit points and has a minimum of 72 credit points to graduate.
  • Two Boeing Scholarships of $3000 for an undergraduate student enrolled in either a:
    • Three-year degree who has completed between 145 and 216 credit points
    • Four-year degree who has completed between 145 and 312 credit points
    • Double degree who has completed between 145 and 408 credit points

Postgraduate

  • Two Boeing Scholarships of $3000 for a postgraduate (coursework or research – excluding PhD and Doctorate) student who has a minimum of 72 credit points to graduate.
  • One Boeing Scholarship of $3000 for a female postgraduate (coursework or research–excluding PhD and Doctorate) student who has a minimum of 72 credit points to graduate.

Note: In the event there are no suitable applicants in a scholarship category the selection panel may re-allocate funds to other categories.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an international student
  • Be enrolled in one of the following undergraduate (Bachelors) or postgraduate (Masters – excluding PhD and Doctorate) disciplines:
    • Aviation, Computer Science and Information Technology
    • Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Software, Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Be enrolled full-time* (a minimum of 36 credit points) in Semester 1 and 2, 2014
  • Have a minimum of 72 credit points (6 courses) to complete in 2014
  • At the time of application undergraduate applicants must also have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 (65%) or higher in their current program of study.
  • The Boeing Scholarship will be awarded to an individual only once, previous winners are not eligible to re-apply for additional Boeing scholarships.

*Recipients whose enrolment drops below 36 credit points (3 courses) in either semester may have 50% of scholarship funds withheld.

Selection
These scholarships will be awarded based on criteria that include demonstrated level of disadvantage, and financial need, impact of scholarship funds to assist the applicant to achieve their goals, the applicants’ motivation and endeavour as illustrated by past academic endeavours and career goals. Academic results will account for 40% of the weighting.

The Boeing Scholarships are managed and awarded by the College of Science, Engineering and Health. The selection panel will be chaired by the Deputy PVC, Learning and Teaching, College of Science, Engineering and Health (or their nominee) and include up to three senior Academics from the College.

The Boeing Scholarship is offered to students of RMIT University support Boeing’s International Higher Education Philosophical Guidelines which state that Boeing’s University Relations will partner with strategically selected colleges and universities to:

  • Enhance the skills required for as many students’ academic and professional success as possible while improving access for underrepresented populations (includes but not limited to financial need, gender, rural and ethnic minorities) and targeting high academic achievers.
  • Promote interest in continuing higher education for students, faculty and Boeing employees in aerospace areas of interest.
  • Increase our knowledge of higher education institutions’ intellectual and technical capabilities and their knowledge of our critical skill needs.
  • Leverage our academic partnerships to enhance Boeing’s visibility/ presence in key geographic markets.

The intent of the Boeing Scholarship is specifically to give a large number of students the opportunity to apply for support. In addition, Boeing place an emphasis on supporting undergraduate (Bachelors) and postgraduate (Masters) students who are under-represented, in financial need and/ or demonstrate high academic merit who have technical or business aptitude.

    Je souhaite, par la présente, porter à votre connaissance mon désir d’obtention de la Bourse d’étude pour le deuxième cycle. Actuellement porteur d’un Diplôme Igennieur en telecom obtenu en 2009 à’ institut moderne de Metiers specialisés IMMS de bangui ,mon projet est de poursuivre mes études jusqu’au niveau de Master pourqoi pas mon doctorat o et/ou de travailler à l’issue de mes études comme Ingénieur de conception en telecommunications dans mon secteur d’activité.
