The Faculty of Science at the University of East Anglia has a number of partial scholarships available to support academically outstanding international research students. These will have the value equivalent to 25% of the University’s International student fee for three years. Candidates should have secured an offer of a place to study for a PhD in the Faculty, and either have the remaining funding in place from employer sponsorship or a scholarship awarding body or be making an application which will cover these costs. The majority of scholarships will be awarded to students from outside of the EU.
In the first instance, applicants should contact potential supervisors to discuss research projects, enclosing a copy of their CV. Our web pages list current PhD opportunities and areas of research in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computing, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Pharmacy. Applications for scholarships will be made by the supervisor on your behalf once you have obtained an offer of a place. The initial closing date for supervisors to do this this is 15 November 2016, with further closing dates at approximately two monthly intervals after this until 15 May 2017.
