FRENCH EMBASSY
COTUTELLE TRAVEL GRANT 2011

Since 2003, the French Embassy in Australia, on behalf of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been associated with the Australian Academy of Science (AAS) to jointly operate the French-Australian Cotutelle Call for proposals. Its objective is to support the development of the double doctoral degree “Cotutelle” between Australia and France.

Eligibility for funding
To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a PhD student (of any nationality) enrolled in a Cotutelle project (under way) between a French and an Australian university
  • Not have benefited from the French Embassy Cotutelle grant in previous years

Terms of award
For this 2011 Cotutelle Call for proposals, the French Embassy will provide grants in aid of up to $2,500 per student towards international travel between France and Australia. Priority will be given to complete applications (with signed agreements) and to Australian students.

Requirements
To apply for this call for proposals, applicants will be required to provide the French Embassy with the following documents:

  • The completed application form
  • The Cotutelle convention signed or in the instance of being signed by both Universities

This call for proposals is for travels in 2011. To be reimbursed, successful applicants must provide the Australian Academy of Science with copies of the air ticket invoice and boarding passes. Details of reimbursement will be provided when results for this call are published.

Closing date
Applications must be received by Friday 15 April 2011 (5pm AEST).

Late applications will not be accepted. However incomplete applications will be accepted and put on hold until the Embassy of France has received all the documents needed.
