The 2016 International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) provides an opportunity for outstanding candidates to receive a living allowance covering:

  • Tuition fees
  • Health cover costs (for the recipient)
  • Health cover costs (for the recipient’s dependents)

Scheme and description
The Bond scholarship provides the recipient with a generous living allowance paid at the rate of $26,140 per annum. It is tax-free and indexed annually.

A limited number of scholarships are available. They are awarded to students wishing to continue their education through higher degree research (HDR).

Students with a history of outstanding study may also receive extra funding from Bond, in addition to their IPRS scholarship.

Scholarships will be based on the key criteria and awarded on academic merit.

Late or incomplete Scholarship applications received after 31st March, 2016 will not be considered.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to International students who are intending to undertake a PhD by Research, with a valid offer of enrolment at Bond University.

In order to apply for an HDR program, students must meet the required academic entry requirements, as well as satisfy visa, residency and English proficiency requirements.

Previous applicants for Scholarships, who have been unsuccessful, are not eligible to re-apply.

Scholarship application process

Step 1 – Expression of Interest Your first step is to lodge a HDR Expression of Interest.  Once your Expression of Interest has been accepted, you will be required to make an application for admission to a HDR Doctoral program through the relevant Faculty.

Step 2 – Find a Supervisor To start this process, click on the Find a Supervisor button.

Step 3 – Admission to Bond University To start this process, click on the Apply for admission button.

Step 4 – Apply for a Scholarship Once your application for admission has been approved, and you have received your Letter of Offer, you may then apply for a scholarship through the Apply for Scholarship button.
