Japanase Language and Culture Studies Program, University of Hokkaido

Japanase Language and Culture Studies Program is an opportunity for students from University of Hokkaido’s partner to learn and improve their Japanese proficiency. The program consist of three types of courses: Japanese language; Japansese culture and society; and independent study. The program will start on October 1, 2012 and finish on September 30,2013. Highly competitive MEXT scholarship is available for this program.

Qualification of applicants

  1. Undergraduate student from Universitas Gadjah Mada at their 3rd – 6th semester
  2. Majoring in Japanese language and culture
  3. Passed level 3 or above of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or have equal ability with sucessful applicants of the test

  3. Certificate of Registration from home university
  4. Recommendation letter from dean and supervisor
  5. Academic transcript ( GPA min 3.35)
  6. Japanese Language Proficiency Test certificate
  7. Certificate of health
  8. 2 photograph (4.5 x 3.5)
  9. MEXT Scholarship application form
  10. Copy of passport

  1. I’m 3rd grader high school and still searching for japanase language and culture scholarship (for the real college). But can I join this program?
    Or if I accepted on another university in indonesia (not in gadjah mada university), could I still join this program?
