Fulbrights Grants for Indonesian Lecturers – MA, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

This grant is to pursue a master’s degree in the US for one to two years in any field except medical sciences. It is open to applicants who serve as permanent faculty members of state or private universities in Indonesia.

Eligible Fields of Study
Fulbright grants may be used for study or research in most disciplines and fields of study with the exception of medicine related to patient care or clinical patient contact. Proposals in humanities, arts, and social sciences, and in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and health are equally welcome. Applications in STEM fields are encouraged that focus on environmental preservation, alternative energy exploration, or climate change mitigation.

General Requirements
The applicant should:

Be an Indonesian citizen currently resident in Indonesia
Be a lecturer at an Indonesian state or private university holding a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, or NIDN
Fulfill other requirements established by RISTEK-DIKTI and set out yearly in its online scholarships guide
Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to, her or his chosen field of study
Be proficient in English
Have an outstanding academic record
Demonstrate that she/he can realistically accomplish full-time graduate study or conduct research in the US
Demonstrate a strong commitment to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright scholarship program

Fulbrights Grants for Indonesian Lecturers – PhD, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

This grant is for three years’ study at a US university to pursue a doctoral degree in any field of study except medical sciences. It is open to applicants who serve as permanent faculty members of state or private universities in Indonesia. In certain cases, grantees can request an exceptional fourth year if a substantial argument for it can be made.

General Requirements
The applicants should:

Be Indonesian citizens and not permanent residents of the US, or be currently living in the US
Be a lecturer at an Indonesian state or private university holding a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, or NIDN
Fulfill other requirements established by RISTEK-DIKTI and set out yearly in its online scholarships guide
Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to, her or his chosen field of study
Be proficient in English
Have an outstanding academic record
Demonstrate that she/he can realistically accomplish full-time graduate study or conduct research in the US
Demonstrate a strong commitment to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright scholarship program
Be willing to sign an agreement with RISTEK-DIKTI promising to return to serve his/her home institution for a certain number of years before retirement upon the completion of the scholarship program, according to prevailing RISTEK-DIKTI requirements

International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP), American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

The International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and is implemented by IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), a Washington, DC based non-profit organization.

ILEP will consist of a semester-long academic program at a U.S. university, including coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, lesson planning, teaching strategies for their home environment, teacher leadership, as well as the use of computers for internet, word processing and as tools for teaching.

The semester-long program, which will commence in January 2018 and conclude in May 2018, will also include an internship at a secondary school to engage participants actively with the American teachers and students.

The Fellowship provides:

A pre-departure orientation held in Indonesia
Round-trip airfare to and within the U.S.
A Welcome Orientation in Washington, DC
Academic program fees
Housing (generally shared with other program fellows)
Accident and sickness insurance
A daily allowance for meals and incidentals during the university academic program
A laptop computer
book/professional development allowance
A Closing Seminar in Washington, DC
Excess baggage/shipping allowance
The opportunity to apply for collaborative grants with U.S. colleagues

Fulbright Doctoral Dissertation Research Program, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

This research grant is intended to provide U.S. research opportunities for Indonesian university doctoral candidates who are in the final stages of writing their dissertation. The grant duration is for a period of 6 months. The applicant should have a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 575 or IBT Score of 90 or IELTS equivalent to participate in this program. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.

HOW TO APPLY
Candidates should complete the appropriate application forms which can be downloaded below. Please return to AMINEF your complete application package by the application deadline that includes:

Completed application form. This includes a clearly written and concise one page study objective and 10 – 15 pages research proposal.
Copy of your most recent, less than two year old, ITP/IBT TOEFL or IELTS score report.
Two letters of reference, from a lecturer/professor and work supervisor who know you well.
Copy of academic transcript (English translation).
Copy of identity document (KTP or passport).

The program is open to applicants who serve as permanent faculty members of state or private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. This grant is for doctoral (S3) candidates to conduct research in the U.S. for 6 months

REQUIREMENTS

Hold a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional (NIDN) and fulfill other requirements listed at http://beasiswa.dikti.go.id
Be enrolled in a doctoral degree (S3) program at an Indonesian higher education institution
Be in the final stages of writing their dissertation
Have contacted or identified a potential research partner or institution in the U.S.
Have a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 525 or IELTS equivalent

HOW TO APPLY
Candidates should complete the appropriate application form which can be downloaded below and send it to RISTEK-DIKTI address as shown on the last page of the application form. Please return your complete application package by the application deadline that includes:

Fulbright Senior Research Program, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

The Fulbright Program is pleased to announce the opportunity for Indonesian academics and professionals to develop or update their research through interaction with distinguished counterparts at an accredited university, or a public or private, non-profit research institute in the United States for a period of three to six months.

FIELD OF STUDY: All fields are eligible; except medicine, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing and other fields whose proposals include contact with patients are not eligible.

ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must have the following qualifications:

Indonesian citizen.
Doctoral degree or equivalent professional training or experience at the time of application.
Minimum five years working experience in the related field.
A significant record of scholarly or professional accomplishment as indicated by quality publications and professional activities.
Proficiency in English appropriate to proposed research to be carried out in the United States.
A detailed statement of proposed activity for research at a U.S. institution. The proposed project should contribute to the development of knowledge in your field and must be effectively investigated within the period of grant.
Residing in Indonesia throughout the nomination and selection process, and must return to Indonesia upon completion of their U.S. stay.

Fulbright Dikti Senior Research Program, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

Applicants must serve as faculty members at any private or state higher education institutions. This research grant is for Indonesian scholars who have a doctoral degree or equivalent professional qualifications. The grant affords Indonesian scholars the opportunity to conduct research in the U.S. for a period of three to six months. Even though a proof of English Proficiency is not required, applicants should also be able to demonstrate sufficient English language proficiency to conduct research in the U.S.
