Fulbright Presidential Scholarship PhD Program, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

Preference will be given to applicants who serve or plan to serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia and have not previously received any Fulbright scholarship.

Applicants will possess:

  • a Master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.00 scale).
  • demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and other cultures.
  • a deep commitment to the chosen field of study.
  • a determination to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright program and to take up academic positions in higher education upon their return.
  • a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 575 or IBT TOEFL score of 90 or IELTS score of 6.5. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.

Note: Based on recent changes in U.S. institution requirements, the TOEFL requirement for this program has been changed. The new requirement is as follows: “Generally, the TOEFL requirement for PhD program is 575 and above. However, a score of 550 and above will be considered for the following fields: non applied Physics, non applied Mathematics, and non applied Chemistry.”

Fulbright-DIKTI Senior Research Special 10 Week University of Washington PAR-C Type Recharging Program

Requirements: applicants must serve as faculty members at any private or state higher education institutions, and have not previously received any Fulbright scholarships. Please note that applicants must be nominated by their institution.

Participating Universities in the U.S.
University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Washington State University, Highline Community College, and Cascadia Community College.

Features of this special program include:

  • Pairing each scholar with a UW Faculty Mentor
  • Providing opportunities for course observation, laboratory visits, experience with new research equipment and technology, introduction to colleagues, etc.
  • Providing a weekly seminar series inviting speakers from academic and administrative units and offer scholars’ seminar series
  • Assisting scholars in making connections with faculty and researchers in Seattle
  • Providing opportunities to visit relevant organizations and institutions in the greater Seattle area (such as Boeing, Microsoft, Fred Hutch Cancer Center)
  • Partnering with Seattle Surabaya Sister City Association (SSSCA)

2012 – 2013 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program Global UGRAD

The Office of Academic Exchange Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U. S. Department of State, is pleased to announce a new exchange program for undergraduate students-the 2012 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)

The Global UGRAD Program provides scholarships for one semester or one academic year of U.S. Study in a NON-DEGREE Program. The goals of the program are to provide a diverse group of emerging student leaders, from non-elite and underrepresented groups in Indonesia and East Asia.

All global UGRAD Program participants will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the institution’s (US) existing curriculum to allow students ample opportunity for ongoing interaction with U.S. Faculty and student peers, and for exposure to U.S. academic and classroom culture.

To ensure that students succeed in their new academic environments, host institutions will offer tailored instruction on topics including academic research and writing, critical thinking, time management, note taking, and studying for and taking tests. Participants will live on campus with American peers.

Students will also be provided with opportunities to participate in up to ten hours of community service per semester. Additionally, an internship component will be offered to all academic-year participants during the academic component of the program. Internships will be related to each participant’s field of study and/or career plans.

Participants may be eligible for up to 4 weeks of intensive English Language instruction in the United States prior to the start of academic portion of their program.

The American Indonesia Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) is pleased to announce the availability of approximately 40 awards to be competed worldwide under the aegis of International Fulbright Science and Technology Award for Ph.D. study at top U.S. institutions in science, technology, or engineering for the 2012-2013 academic year matriculants.

The Fulbright Program in Indonesia promotes mutual understanding between the Republic of Indonesia and the United States of America through educational exchange and academic scholarship. Fulbright scholarships for this particular program are available to Indonesian citizens with the appropriate qualifications as stipulated below.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

Applicants will possess:

Hubert H Humphrey Non Degree Scholarship for Indonesian Professionals, USA

There is still time to get a scholarship Hubert H Humphrey offered to professionals and middle level of Indonesia to take non-degree programs. This program combines graduate level course for the development of professionalism in the United States (U.S.) for 9 months.

Scholarship applicants are generally required personnel administrator in a position to lead and at least five years experience working in public institutions or private non-profit, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs) committed to community service. In addition Sarjana (S-1) with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a scale of 4.00), applicants must have the ITP / Toefl iBT minimum of 525 or IELTS 5.5.

The fields of study are recommended for this scholarship include Food Technology / Agricultural Communication / Journalism, Economic Development Studies, Banking and Finance, Human Resources, Policy Analysis and Public Administration, Management and Technology Policy, Regional and Urban Planning, Management and Public Health Policy, (including education and prevention policies and the spread of HIV / AIDS).
