RMIT University AustraliaA PhD scholarship is available for a candidate to undertake research in generative design and the fabrication of complex geometries, with a focus on computational design, as part of the RMIT Boeing Research Alliance.

Value and duration
Up to $40,000 per annum for 3 years with possible six month extension:

  • $30,000 per year funded by the School of Architecture and Design, RMIT University
  • $10,000 per year top up scholarship from Boeing.

If selected candidate is international the School of Architecture and Design will provide full tuition fee waiver and Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) for duration of candidature.

A second related scholarship focused on Robotic Fabrication and Complex Geometry is available.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • hold a Master of Architecture or equivalent (such as an accredited B.Arch Hons)
  • provide evidence of good oral and written communication skills

  • meet RMIT University’s entry requirements for the Higher Degree by Research programs.

Our Schools offer a rich and vibrant postgraduate research community with a broad range of academic research interests. ECA is proud of its world-leading research, which stretches across and beyond the disciplines of its five Schools covering Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Art, Design, History of Art, and Music.

Applications are invited for research projects that take advantage of the leading research expertise across the ECA Schools. ECA will aim to provide a supervisory team which will consist of at least two supervisors. Applicants may indicate potential supervisors in their application.

Scholarship award holders are expected to be energetic members of our postgraduate community, and engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award. We offer our postgraduates a range of training and development opportunities appropriate to their programme of study.

Awards
We are offering three ECA PhD Scholarships, for the sum of £16,000 per year for three years full-time study (for part-time see below), open to new PhD students commencing study in September 2019.

Please note: the award is first used towards meeting the tuition fee costs for the successful applicant and for awards where there is any remaining balance this will be paid to the award holder as a stipend.

Andrew Grant, born 1830 in Leith, was an established international businessman, liberal politician, landowner and an alumnus of the University of Edinburgh. Between 1907 and 1909, he gifted £10,000 towards the construction of the new Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and left around £350,000 to The Andrew Grant Bequest, to benefit students of the college which it continues to do.

Our Schools offer a rich and vibrant postgraduate community with a broad range of postgraduate programmes and academic research interests.

We are offering 10 scholarships, for the sum of £10,000 each, 2 awards per ECA School. These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee with any remaining funds being awarded towards living costs.

University of Queensland Australia The School of Architecture invites outstanding international students to apply for scholarships valued at AUD $14,800 per year.

Eligibility
The scholarships are available for international students who have completed undergraduate studies and been accepted into the Master of Architecture at UQ.
