Brunel University London UK The Brunel Business School (BBS) are offering a number of prestigious scholarships for UK/EU and international applicants joining the Brunel MBA in September 2018 and January 2019 of the 2018/19 academic year.

Successful awardees will be expected to undertake specified duties as Brunel Ambassadors for the Brunel Business School (BBS). Activities might involve representing the MBA programme at internal and external marketing and recruitment events, providing guest talks and seminars to undergraduate/postgraduate students, providing reports on each event and writing a Brunel MBA Blog and/or other initiatives as appropriate. In addition, awardees will also be expected to assume mentoring responsibilities as required by BBS.

Value:

  • The Full time MBA Scholarship: is a £6,500 tuition fee waiver for one year only.
  • The Part Time MBA Scholarship (Corporate/Private sector) is a £9,000 tuition fee waiver for a maximum of two years only, split equally across both academic years, £4,500 per year.
  • The Part Time MBA Scholarship (Public/Government) is a £11,000 tuition fee waiver for a maximum of two years only, split equally across both academic years, £5,500 per year.

How many: We are offering 30 scholarships for the full-time MBA and 20 for the part time MBA programme.

Application process:
Apply for the MBA programme in the usual way and by the course application deadline:

  1. For courses beginning September 2018, you must apply for the MBA course by 24 August 2018
  2. For courses beginning January 2019, you must apply for the MBA course by 1 December 2018

Applicants must complete the MBA scholarship application form by the final deadline.

  • must meet the entry criteria for their programme of study and achieve one of the following qualifications and grades*:
    • 3 A levels with grades AAB
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma with 34 points or above
    • BTEC Extended Diploma with grades D*D*D (UCAS tariff equivalencies are not acceptable)
    • 3 Scottish Advanced Highers with grades AAB
    • Higher Irish Leaving Certificate from 4 subjects with grades A1, A1, A1, B1
  • must make Brunel University their firm choice through UCAS
  • must have submitted a completed scholarship application by 31 July
  • must be undertaking a BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Electronic and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering (excludes Broadcast Media, Multimedia Technology and Design, and all Design programmes)**

Brunel International Scholarships, Brunel University, UK

Brunel University London UKThe Brunel International Scholarship Programme is an annual award run by the Brunel International office that is open to all international students. Its goal is to provide financial support to exceptional students. Scholarship holders will go on to represent Brunel as ambassadors throughout their time at the University.

For 2013/14 we are please to be able to offer 30 awards, which will comprise of a 15% discount off the cost of tuition fees. These awards are open to Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research students who are classed as overseas for fee purposes.

Please note that these terms and conditions are subject to English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.

1. Eligibility
1.1 Applications for a Brunel International scholarship are invited from students starting a new programme of study in the academic year 2013/14 who meet the following criteria:

  • Are not a current Brunel student on a full time or part time undergraduate or postgraduate programme, with the exception of students on the English@Brunel, Pre-sessional English and Intensive Foundation or Premasters courses through the IPLC (International Pathways and Language Centre);
  • Have an offer to study on an undergraduate or taught postgraduate taught programme of study starting in September 2013 or a postgraduate research programme of study starting in the academic year 2013/14;
  • Has been assessed as an international student for fees purposes;
  • Agree to engage in a wide range of publicity and promotional activities, plus a formal event during the academic year. Please note that this is a key requirement of the award and by accepting the award you will be entering into an agreement to undertake these activities. (see Section 3 below) Failure to comply with this agreement may lead to withdrawal of the award ;
  • Have not been in receipt of a Brunel International Scholarship previously, either as part of current or earlier studies.

1.2 Scholarships are awarded for entry in the academic year 2013/14 only and cannot be deferred to later years of entry. Course applicants who intend to defer their studies must re-apply for a scholarship in the year they will begin their studies.

1.3 Students who are eligible for the Brunel Postgraduate Academic Excellence scholarship cannot be awarded a Brunel International scholarship. If you apply and later become eligible for an Academic Excellence scholarship, we will automatically withdraw your application for the Brunel International scholarships and award you the Academic Excellence Scholarship.

To receive the award, successful applicants must:

  1. Meet all conditions of their offer from Brunel and register on their LLM course by the date specified on their offer letter.
  2. Scholarship recipients must pay their deposit by 1 July, 2012 to confirm their acceptance of a place and hold their scholarship. If the deposit is not paid by this date, the School reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship and award it to a runner-up.

Am I eligible?
In order to apply for the Brunel Law School international scholarships, applicants must:

  1. Have applied for a full time undergraduate course for first year entry in the 2012/13 academic year at Brunel Law School and have been made a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on the course.
  2. Be classed as an international fee paying applicant with a predicted AAA, 35 IB or have achieved the equivalent grades in their national curriculum. –or-
  3. Be classified as an EU student who has studied their national curriculum, achieving a predicted score equivalent to AAA. PhD Scholarships in Social Sciences, Brunel University, UK

We are delighted to announce nine funded PhD studentships* in social sciences at Brunel University for UK, EU and international students for a January 2012 start, (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The School of Social Sciences is providing opportunities for promising academic talent to undertake doctoral study. This is a significant opportunity for those who show academic excellence in our areas of expertise.

Successful applicants will be awarded £12,372 per annum over three years, which includes a fee-waiver of £3,732 and a stipend of £9,000. In exceptional cases an additional fee contribution for international students may be available.

The Panasonic Trust Fellowships 2010, UK

On 2 October 1997, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of Panasonic UK Ltd by generously donating a further £500,000 to the Panasonic Trust to enable it to broaden its activities in the professional development of UK engineers. Income generated by these funds was has been used to support the Panasonic Trust Fellowships since 1998.

The objective of the Fellowships is to provide financial support to selected graduate engineers wishing to study full-time Masters’ degree courses in subjects with a bias towards energy, sustainability, infrastructure, environmental technology and water resource engineering. Each Fellowship has a financial value of £8,000.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the award of a Panasonic Trust Fellowship an individual must:

  • be a UK citizen;
  • be qualified to degree level in engineering or a closely related discipline;
  • have membership at any grade of a professional engineering institution accredited by the Engineering Council as a licenced member institution;
  • have some industrial experience, which may be from a sandwich course work placement or a ‘year out’ before commencing university;
  • not be in receipt of an EPSRC or other award to study the respective course.
