  • Living expenses 50,000 Baht
  • Air ticket Reimbursement. Air ticket can be reimbursed on the rate of your purchase in the receipt ,but does not exceed than 9,500 Baht

Requirements of Eligible Applicants

  • Applicants must be undergraduate students at an accredited university in an ASEAN country except Thailand.
  • Applicants must be a citizen of an ASEAN member country
  • All ASEAN students studying in Thailand are ineligible to apply.

Application Documents

  • Complete application form (download).
  • Statement of purpose attached with the application form.
  • Official transcript with latest GPAX.
  • One 1-inch photograph (face shot with no hat, sunglasses, or computer editing).
  • Two letters of recommendation from lecturers or advisors.
  • University testimonial letter.
  • Language requirement:
    • TOEFL score: at least 90 (IBT) or higher, or
    • IELTS score: at least 6 or higher, or
    • CU-AAT score: at least 450 or higher (only verbal section), or
    • SAT score: at least 450 or higher (only critical reading section)

Master Scholarships in International Development Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

The Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS), Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand is now open for applications for those who wish to pursue a master’s degree in international development studies.

MAIDS is a one-year multi-disciplinary international program taught in English language. We offer a variety of courses including on: development theory and practice; globalization; research methods; politics of public policy; migration; human rights; environmental politics; conflict resolution; project management; and innovation for inclusive development. You will also complete a thesis, and join a number of domestic and international field trips over the duration of the course.

The course aims to:

  • Build students’ academic knowledge, research skills and critical thinking on international development studies
  • Promote a multi-disciplinary approach to international development studies that links theory to praxis
  • Support the development of students’ careers through helping build their relationships with networks of academics, organizations and practitioners working locally, regionally and internationally
  • Enable students to gain practical experience in development through internships, field visits, and projects based in the community

ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program, Daejeon University, Korea

ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program, previously named as ASEAN Millennium Leaders College Student Exchange Programme, is an ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Project between the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and Daejeon University (DJU). The project is jointly funded by the ASEAN-ROK Future Oriented Cooperation Programs Funds and Daejeon University.

The Programme offers exchange scholarships for 20 undergraduate students from ASEAN student to study at Daejeon University, the Republic of Korea (ROK). The scholarship includes tuition fees, room and board, round-trip ticket, basic medical insurance and living allowance (USD 300 per month) for one academic year.

Daejeon University has specialized curriculum and ample experience with ASEAN student, so DJU is the only university which has launched the ASEAN – ROK International College Student Exchange Program since 2002. DJU provides ASEAN students with the opportunity to become leading role models in the future by taking the advanced level classed, while using our fully technologically equipped facilities for one academic year.

Also, our program is dedicated in cultivating students to become leaders of ASEAN Nations, especially through our internship program at internationally well known organizations in Korea such as UN-APCICT, IFEZ, KNCU, KIEP and ASEAN-Korea Centre We have witnessed our students contribute to diplomatic relations between ASEAN and ROK.

ASEAN University Network (AUN)
The ASEAN University Network was established in November 1995 under the Charter signed by the Ministers responsible for higher education in ASEAN countries. The AUN is perceived as a mechanism to help hasten solidarity and development of regional identity through the promotion of the existing network of leading universities and higher education institutions in ASEAN region. Currently, the AUN is actively involved in collaborative projects with the following partners; P.R. China, the European Union, United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. The International College Student Exchange Program between ROK and ASEAN Nations is one of the collaborative projects with ROK.

Master Scholarships by AUN/SEED-Net

ASEAN University Network / Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net)

For the Japanese Fiscal Year 2013

Project Background
The concept of the SEED-Net evolved at the ASEAN-Japan Summit Meeting held in December 1997 and the central issue became how to upgrade higher engineering education by way of creating engineering institutions’ networks ASEAN-wide. As a result of a series of discussions and preparations between ASEAN Member Countries and Japan, the ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net) was established in 2001 as a sub-network of ASEAN University Network (AUN).

After two years of preparation, full-scale operation started in March 2003 for five years as the Phase 1 cooperation, which was then followed by another five year project as the Phase 2 cooperation, supported by Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Master & PhD Scholarships, Hitachi Scholarship Foundation, Japan

The Hitachi Scholarship provides an excellent opportunity for Southeast Asian universities to send faculty members, who wish to continue teaching and research at their universities after graduation, to Japan as part of their human development programs. Recipients of this award are invited to attend Japanese public and private graduate schools that have close relationships with Southeast Asian universities. The Scholarship provides financial support and personal assistance and consultation.

Eligibility for the program is limited to faculty members up to the age of 30 for masters degree candidates or 35 for Ph. D. degree candidates in the fields of scince and technology and each applicant must be recommended by a senior staff at their home university as a potential candidate for international reasearch collaboration after graduation. Each grantee receives full financial support to study Japanese for six months after arrival. The Foundation funds tour programs every year to visit various location in the fields of industry, science technology, research, culture, history, society and nature so that the grantees’ experience and understanding during their stay in Japan will not be limited to one campus.

Qualifications

  • Be faculty members of one of the eligible universities stated below.
  • Have been nominated by their university’s presidential office, with the approval and recommendation of the faculty and the department.
  • Have received a specific and confirmed invitation from a professor at a Japanese university, who will act as the host professor to collaborate with and/or advise the applicant until graduation or the completion of the program.

1. Introduction
The AUN/SEED-Net Project with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has been established to help development of “high quality” human resources in engineering fields in each ASEAN country which will lead to the self-reliance and sustainable industrial development for the Region. In order to reach this goal, AUN/SEED-Net provides scholarships for highly qualified applicants from Member Institutions to pursue doctoral degrees with international standard in the following nine fields at respective Host Institutions as follows:
