You will be eligible to apply for a BU Undergraduate International Scholarship if you can demonstrate an outstanding academic profile relevant to your course. International Scholarships for Undergraduate Students, University of Kent, UK

University of Kent UK The University has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for entry at undergraduate level.

The scholarships will be worth £5000 per annum (for up to three years of study) towards the cost of tuition fees and are offered to nationals of any country paying international fees.

The closing date for application is 31 May prior to the academic year of entry.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants for undergraduate study at the University of Kent may ask to be considered for one of the University’s International Scholarships.
  • In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, all of the conditions 1 to 3 below must have been satisfied:
    1. an application must have been made for a degree course at the University of Kent .
    2. the applicant must have received an offer of a place on such a degree course.
    3. the University must have received confirmation of the applicant’s firm acceptance of the offer.

HOW TO APPLY – UNDERGRADUATE

At the point of application for the scholarship, you are asked to submit an original essay of between 750 to 1,000 words on the topic: “Why have you chosen your selected degree programme; why have you applied to the University of Kent; and how do you see your degree at Kent preparing you for your life after graduation“.

Mathematical Linguistics Scholarship, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague, grants one scholarship to a highly qualified applicant in the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Mathematical Linguistics (language of instruction: English).

Regulations:

1. The Scholarship will be known as the Mathematical Linguistics Scholarship.

2. The Scholarship includes direct coverage of tuition fees for the academic years 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 (3000 EUR per academic year for students from the EU, and 5000 EUR per academic year for students outside the EU), and a contribution to living expenses of 4000 EUR per academic year.

3. One Scholarship will be awarded.

4. The decision on awarding the Scholarship belongs to the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague.

5. The Scholarship is open to candidates applying for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Mathematical Linguistics, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague, for the academic year 2013/2014. Candidates must meet the Entry Requirements for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science as specified at Admission web, and are to provide the following documents in order to apply for the Scholarship:

  • copy of the application for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Mathematical Linguistics;
  • curriculum vitae;
  • letter of interest;
  • list of publications (if applicable);
  • transcript(s) of records;

BSc Professional Nursing Studies Scholarships, Swansea University, UK

Students applying for our BSc (Hons) Professional Nursing Studies programme at Swansea University will have the opportunity to receive up to £2,000 in scholarship and bursaries!

Students applying for our BSc (Hons) Professional Nursing Studies programme will be eligible for a guaranteed International Nursing Scholarship worth £1,500, to be offset against international tuition fees.

Students will also be eligible for a 5% bursary (after deduction of the International Nursing Scholarship) if they accept and confirm their offer of place to study on the programme by making the required deposit payment by 30 May 2013.

The bursary will be given to students upon their arrival to the University in September 2013 after completion of all enrolment requirements and have made full tuition fees payment.

The School of Government and Public Policy (SGPP) offers financial aid to candidates on a competitive basis. This aid ranges from partial to full tuition remittals and are valid for the duration of the program. This aid does not cover living expenses.

To be considered for such a scholarship, candidates must complete the SGPP Scholarship Application pages of the application before submitting the forms. Supporting documents should be attached as PDF documents.

International Research Scholarships (PhD Scholarships)

The European Union Academic Programme Hong Kong (EUAP) is inviting applications for two PhD Scholarships in the fields of European Union Studies / EU Relations with China / East Asia.

The EUAP is a consortium of four universities in Hong Kong, co-financed by the European Commission. It is dedicated to strengthening research expertise on the European Union and its engagement with and in East Asia.

The EUAP welcomes cutting-edge inter-disciplinary research proposals from prospective candidates. The Scholarship Scheme is an excellent opportunity for outstanding Master degree students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to conduct doctoral research at one of the EUAP member universities in Hong Kong.

Applications are now invited in the following areas:

School of Biosciences Scholarships for International MSc Students, University of Kent, UK

The School of Biosciences is offering ten scholarships for postgraduate Master’s study, each with a value of £2,000, in order to provide financial assistance to well-qualified students paying overseas fees.

This Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence as assessed by the entry qualifications for each postgraduate programme. Eligible applicants will automatically be considered for this Scholarship and there is no need to make a separate application for this award.

The School of Biosciences reserves the right not to allocate this award to any individual applicant it considers ineligible.

Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The student must be an overseas fee payer
  • The student must have applied for one of our Master’s programmes (Biotechnology and Engineering, Cancer Biology, Drug Design, Reproductive Medicine: Science and Ethics, Science, Communication and Society, or MSc by research) before June 1st 2013.
  • The student must meet any conditions of the offer to study, e.g. GPA, degree classification, English Language qualifications
  • The Scholarship is dependent upon continued good standing and will be released in December 2013 to ensure that good academic progress has been achieved
  • The student can hold the School of Biosciences together with other scholarships for which they are eligible (e.g. International Scholarship for Taught Master’s students, Kent Cancer Trust Scholarship). Scholarship holders would be expected to undertake reasonable duties to support the external profile of the School of Biosciences, for instance assisting with Open Days, outreach with the local community, working with the International Development team, and promoting the School of Biosciences in their home countries.
