UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Four innovation campuses in Limburg, the Netherlands, form the Brightlands. The Brightlands campi bring together entrepreneurs, researchers and students to innovate and create international breakthroughs together in chemistry and materials, health, agrifood, data science and smart digital services.

The UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship programme offers four full coverage scholarships (including a tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend) per academic year for a selected number of top-performing non-EU/EEA students with personal development potential that have been (conditionally) admitted to a master programme connected to the Brightlands campi.

A mandatory component of the UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship is participating in the thesis-internship-programme (TIP), requiring scholarship recipients to write their thesis based on an internship at one of the companies at the respective Brightlands campus.

Target group: top-performing non-EU/EEA master’s students with high personal development potential that have been (conditionally) admitted to a master programme connected to the Brightlands campi and with a substantiated motivation to contribute to the campuses’ development.

Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarships, Netherlands

Maastricht University Netherlands The Maastricht University (UM) Holland-High Potential Scholarship programme offers 24 full scholarships of € 30,000 (including tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend) each academic year for highly talented students from outside the European Union (EU) who have been admitted to a master’s programme at UM.

The Scholarship programme consists of both the High Potential Scholarship (funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund), and the Holland Scholarship, which is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in conjunction with Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences. It is aimed at international students from outside the EU/EEA who wish to follow a full degree programme in the Netherlands.

University College Maastricht (UCM) Scholarships, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Maastricht University NetherlandsUCM offers scholarships during the September intake only. UCM Scholarships are awarded to five applicants who are invited to attend University College Maastricht.

Applicants who are eligible for the UCM scholarship are highly qualified, low-income students coming from a non-EU/EEA country who do not hold an EU/EEA passport. Scholarship applicants must be accepted to the Liberal Arts & Sciences programme of UCM for the September intake. Please note that current UCM students cannot apply for this scholarship.

The UCM scholarship is awarded for the duration of the Bachelor’s programme, with a maximum of 36 months.

School of Business and Economics (SBE) non-EU Scholarship, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Maastricht University NetherlandsThe Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) offers one scholarship for its three-year bachelor’s programmes to talented students with the interest to expand their global education. The scholarship is available to students with a non-EU/EEA nationality (only).

Eligibility
If you wish to apply for the SBE non-EU Scholarship, there are several requirements. You need to:

Amount
The amount of the scholarship is € 11,500 per academic year. The scholarship is renewable every year for the duration of the bachelor’s programme on the express condition that scholarship awarded students:

  • Fulfil all study requirements within given time;
  • Maintain an overall GPA of at least 75% each year;
  • Assist, on average, 4 hours per month in student recruitment activities.

Each scholarship recipient at SBE is assigned an academic advisor with whom they are required to meet regularly to monitor their academic progress.

Ursula Glunk Scholarship, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Maastricht University NetherlandsMaster Media Culture at the Faculty of Arts and Social Siences of Maastricht University

Maastricht University is a medium-sized university of superior quality and is unique in its international ambitions. Half of its 16,000 students are non-Dutch and come from dozens of countries and all seven continents. This is also true of its research and academic staff. The UM trademark has long been its Problem Based Learning system, characterised by its small-scale nature and independent work groups. These characteristics, paired with the fact that almost all programmes are taught in English, makes UM an attractive university, in an attractive old city of Roman origin, in an area where three countries and languages converge.

Dr. Ursula Glunk, former Senior Lecturer, Senior Program Manager, Leadership Developer, Certified Coach at the school of Business and Economics of Maastricht University made a significant contribution to the University fund Limburg in the form of a Scholarship. This was her farewell gift.

She’s is now working for Zeppelin University (Germany) as a Program Director / Manager Leadership Excellence Insitute Zeppelin (LEIZ).

Maastricht University NetherlandsMaastricht University aims to further strengthen its position as a leading European university offering high-quality education with an international orientation. To this end, the university implements a pro-active recruitment policy for international students, in particular for the Master’s programmes. Scholarships are made available by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund in order to encourage talented students from outside the EU/EEA to follow a Master’s programme at Maastricht University. One of these scholarships is the Maastricht University High Potential scholarship.

Who is eligible?
Applicants must be admissible for a master’s programme or graduate programme for professionals at Maastricht University and must not be older than 35 years at the start of the academic year. You may apply simultaneously for a master’s programme and this scholarship.

Scholarship applicants must have obtained excellent results in their previous studies. This must be shown in the application file by including, for example, grade lists or reference letters. In case of equivalent qualification, preference will be given to applications, which show that the applicant is among the top 5%.

Applicants must come from a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.

Who is eligible?
Océ provides a scholarship for talented master‘s students. Applicants have to be admitted to one of the master’s programs of the School of Business and Economics starting in September 2013. Candidates applying for this scholarship must have interest in and affinity for the document services and printing industry. The student is invited at the Document Services Valley (open innovation center in the city of Venlo, Océ site) for completing the thesis project, under the guidance of professors of the School of Business and Economics.

Candidates must have met all the requirements of the application procedure. Applicants must come from a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
