  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
  • have applied to start the MSc Global Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Bristol in September 2019.

What is it?

  • Two scholarships worth £3,000 to students from India.
  • Two scholarships worth £3,000 to students from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand.
  • The awards can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

PhD Scholarships in Business Management, Heriot-Watt University, UK

The Department of Business Management is offering up to two PhD scholarships to start in the academic year 2019-2020. The term of the scholarship is three years. The scholarship covers fees and successful candidates will receive an annual maintenance allowance (set at £15,009 for 2019/20) and a research support allowance of £2,250 over the registered period of study. In addition, full-time scholarship holders are normally offered an opportunity to undertake at least 20 hours of paid teaching support each academic year.

MA1. Consumers’ online gaming addiction in the leisure consumption industry
There is growing concern that online game gambling causes significant potential harm for some individuals and for society. Online game gambling purchase is a momentum-oriented accomplishment which nourishes interactive sociality and high immersion. This study will explore consumers’ online gaming addiction and the influence of potential mediating factors by employing marketing and psychological theories (e.g., attributional and guilt) in the leisure consumption industry. MA2. Gamification in tourism services and innovation
Tourists increasingly seek physical, emotional and intellectual stimulation with experience industry, which provide them a memorable experience. Games are capable of creating such powerful experiences in constructed alternative worlds though emotional involvement, anticipation, challenge, accomplishment and playfulness, all the aspects that can make an experience memorable in real life. Gamification has a potential to bring experience innovation to tourism. Thus, this study aims to explore gamification in tourism services and innovation. The Söderberg Scholarship is an academic excellence award targeting top Master’s in Management students outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

You apply for a scholarship after you have completed your Master’s in Management programme application.

PhD Scholarships in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

Trinity Business School invites applications for two funded PhD scholarships in the area of Operations/Supply Chain Management supervised by Professor Sinéad Roden (sinead.roden@tcd.ie) and Professor Yufei Huang (yufei.huang@tcd.ie). The scholarships comprise the full tuition fee per year, and a stipend of €17,000 per annum for up to 3 years. The start date is September 2019.

The positions involve working on research projects in the area of operations management and supply chain management with the aim to publish in top academic journals. The PhD candidates will be required to take part in the structured PhD programme at Trinity Business School and engage in teaching duties up to a maximum of 6 hours per week as part of the PhD training. Trinity Business School provides comprehensive support for PhD students to conduct research, including close supervision, a dynamic research seminar series, internal and external PhD courses and training. Admission Requirements

  • Applicants should have excellent English language skills, a minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent is essential.

  • Experience in the area of operations and supply chain management would be advantageous, but not essential. We are particularly seeking applicants with interests and experience in behavioural operations management, supply chain risk management or empirical operations management. Applicants with an interest in experimental methodologies are encouraged.
  • Applicants should be motivated to become a professional management scholar.

University West Scholarships for International Students, Sweden

The local University West scholarship programme is open for students admitted for any of our master’s programmes. The scholarship will cover the tuition fee for the programme, fully or partly, not costs for travel, living costs or other.

The scholarships for international fee-paying students is offered as a reduction of the tuition fee.

A scholarship committee is overall responsible for the principle of the scholarships and decides every year on how to distribute the funds available between departments/faculties.

It is the departments/faculties that decides about structure (100% or 50% reduction of tuition fee or a combination of them both) and number of scholarships for every program.

It is also the department/faculty responsible for each Master’s program that decides which applicants should be awarded scholarships.

If a student is awarded a 50% reduction the tuition fee invoice sent will be reduced with the same amount.

Scholarships available
For the academic year of 2018/19 it has been decided to distribute the scholarship funds as follows:

  • Master in Finance – 2 scholarships covering half the tuition fee
  • Master in International Business – 2 scholarships covering half the tuition fee
  • Master in IT and Management, 2 scholarships covering half the tuition fee
  • Master in Manufacturing Engineering – 1 scholarship covering the full tuition fee
  • Master in Robotics and Automation – 1 scholarship covering the full tuition fee, 1 scholarship covering half the tuition fee
