Graduate Scholarships, University of Oxford, UK

For the 2024-25 academic year, the University expects to be able to offer around 1,000 full or partial graduate scholarships for new students.

University of Oxford

Scholarships are usually awarded on the basis of academic excellence and potential, and will cover some or all of your course fees and/or provide a grant for living costs for your period of fee liability. The eligibility criteria for different scholarships vary, with some being open to the majority of new graduate students and others restricted by particular characteristics, for example by degree subject or country of ordinary residence. Some scholarship schemes offer additional benefits like events to support scholars, or membership of a scholar community or leadership programme.

Danish Government Scholarship, University of Southern Denmark

University of Southern Denmark offers the Danish Government Scholarship – supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science – to certain applicants in recognition of the important investment that oversea students make during their education.

The scholarship consists of two parts: full tuition fee waiver and a grant, to help cover living costs amounting to DKK 3000 per month before taxes.

Who can get the scholarship?
Candidates from a non-EU/EEA country applying for one of the following Engineering Master’s programme in Sønderborg (programme start in autumn) and be eligible to pay tuition fees:

  1. MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics
  2. MSc in Engineering – Electronics

The scholarships will be awarded to the best qualified of the eligible applicants. All eligible applicants who are offered a study place, will automatically be considered for the scholarship. No separate application is needed.

Note: The Faculty of Engineering has the possibility to award highly qualified applicants for other programmes for a scholarship as well.

LSHTM Fund Scholarship, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK

These scholarships have been made possible by donors to the LSHTM Fund. Supported by hundreds of alumni and friends, the LSHTM Fund provides scholarships for the next generation of global health leaders. This year’s two scholarships are intended to support excellent candidates who would be unable to take up a place of study without this financial support.

Award details
Two LSHTM Fund Scholarships are available for 2024-25. The scholarship award comprises

  • 2024-25 tuition fees (at the overseas fee rate), including any mandatory field trip fees, and
  • a tax-free stipend (living allowance) of GBP 19,500.00

Eligibility criteria
This scholarship is open to applicants intending to study on a one-year, full-time, London-based MSc programme at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in 2024-25.

Amsterdam Merit Scholarships (AMS), University of Amsterdam, Netherlands

The University of Amsterdam aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area can apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

University of Amsterdam Netherlands

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) is a scholarship covering the tuition fee and part of the living expenses (the exact amount will be announced as soon as possible) for one academic year with the possibility of extension for a second year (for two-year Master’s programmes).

Requirements
Candidates wishing to apply for an AMS programme should:

  • not have the nationality of one of the countries of the EU/EEA or Suisse
  • not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans (for more information please refer to www.duo.nl).
  • not be eligible to pay the reduced tuition fee rate for EEA students at the UvA
  • not receive a full coverage scholarship for the same period of study as the AMS
  • have submitted a complete application to one of the MSc programmes (see the website of your MSc programme for the application and admission procedure)
  • have been (or will be) admitted for the first time to one of the MSc programmes at the UvA
  • be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa (if applicable)
  • have completed their previous academic programme no longer than 3 years ago

Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme, University of Oxford, UK

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme cultivates the leaders of tomorrow by providing outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies with the opportunity to pursue fully-funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford, combined with a comprehensive programme of leadership development, long-term mentoring and networking.

The Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme was established in 2015 thanks to generous donations from multiple donors to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld. In June 2017, Chairman André Hoffmann pledged an additional donation of £9m to the Trust which, thanks to matched funding of £6m from Oxford University, will double the size of the Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme.

This scholarship is part of the Oxford Graduate Scholarships, which were established through a ground-breaking new matched funding initiative to enable the creation of fully-funded scholarships for graduate students of the highest calibre from across the world. The University contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, together with 60% from generous donations provided by supporters of the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, including Fondation Hoffmann. Fondation Hoffmann is a Swiss-based grant making institution supporting the emergence and expansion of concrete projects which address global problems in today’s societies.

Master of Science International Scholarship, BI Norwegian Business School, Norway

Awarded to students with a strong academic record, the MSc International Scholarships are open to international applicants admitted to any MSc programme at campus Oslo.

Scholarship Award

  • Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for up to two years, if the student maintains the academic progression requirements for scholarship recipients.
  • Some candidates may receive a scholarship award to cover one year of tuition fees.
  • A small number of scholarship awards may include a one-time stipend for the first semester of the programme. If a stipend is offered, the amount will be outlined in the Scholarship Offer.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates with strong academic records with international citizenship
  • Candidates must be admitted to a Master of Science degree programme.

Awarded to students with superior academic records, this scholarship is open to Norwegian and international applicants admitted to MSc programmes at campus Oslo or campus Bergen.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates with an overall GPA of A on the ECTS scale or equivalent a top-level grade on international grade scales are eligible.
  • Only candidates who are admitted to a Master of Science degree programme or are enrolled in/have completed the 3rd year of BI’s Siviløkonom programme are eligible.
