At TU Delft a number of scholarships are available for excellent international applicants. Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships are financed by the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen. Mr. van Effen studied at TU Delft in the 1940’s and strongly believed technological developments will contribute to solving societal issues.

The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen was established with the aim of stimulating excellent international MSc students and financially supporting them in their wish to study at TU Delft.

Eligibility
Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes.

With a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university outside The Netherlands.

Extent of Scholarship
Full tuition fees for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality.

Living expenses (€950 pm) for 2 years for EU/EFTA and Non-EU/EFTA students. One- time standard payment for travel expenses.

Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.

The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. Part of the scholarships are meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study in Holland. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Utrecht Excellence Scholarships, Utrecht University, Netherlands

To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must

  • Belong to the top 10% of your graduating class
  • Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans
  • Have completed your secondary school and/or Bachelor degree outside the Netherlands
  • Have applied for an international master’s programme with a start date of September 1, 2019. Not all programmes participate, please check www.uu.nl/masters > master’s programme > Tuition fees and financial support to see if the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship is mentioned as a scholarship opportunity.

Scholarship amount
The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as:

  • tuition fees, or
  • tuition fees plus 11.000 euro living expenses

As the grant is not automatically a full scholarship, it may be necessary to find additional funding to be able to finance your studies and stay completely. Students requiring a residence permit in the Netherlands must prove to the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Office) that they have sufficient financial means. Read more about the budget the University advises.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for a Holland Scholarship, you must

  • Not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans
  • Never before have been enrolled at an educational institution in the Netherlands
  • Have applied for an international master’s programme at Utrecht University with a start date of September 1, 2019
  • Meet the specific entry requirements of the programme

Scholarship amount
The scholarship amounts to € 5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies as a single disbursement, even if you are enrolled in a two year programme.

Number of scholarships
23 scholarships are available for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Deadline
Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply before February 1 (00:00 Dutch time). Your application for a scholarship will only be processed if you have submitted an application for a Master’s programme as well.

Radboud University Medical Center Study Fund, Netherlands

Radboud University NetherlandsThe Radboud University Medical Center Study Fund is a scholarship for excellent students applying for the Master’s programmes in Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Mechanisms of Disease. The scholarship is highly selective.

The Radboud University Medical Center Study Fund aims to provide very promising students without sufficient financial means the opportunity to complete one of our master’s programme, and possibly enroll in the PhD programme afterwards.

Therefore, each academic year about 9 full scholarships (or more partial) are offered to our most excellent international (non-EEA) applicants for the Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Mechanisms of Disease Master’s programmes . Eligibility for a study fund scholarship depends on the interview results, the results from your previous education, and (if applicable) your work experience. Scholarship candidates usually rank among the best 5% of their class.

The Radboud University Medical Center Study Fund is always combined with the Radboud Scholarship Programme. Together the two scholarships cover all tuition fees and living expenses.

For 2018/2019 the Studyfund scholarship amounts to €12,620. The grant comprises of € 2,060 tuition fees (which will be paid directly to Radboud University) and € 10,560 living expenses (which will be paid to the student). For 2019/2020, these amounts will be adjusted to reflect changes in tuition fees and the requirements set by the Dutch Immigration Office. Please note no extra costs such as flight and travel are covered.

Amandus H Lundqvist Scholarship Program, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands

Eindhoven University of Technology Netherlands Named in honor of the former TU/e President, the Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarship Program (ALSP) awards scholarships to excellent students who have been admitted to a TU/e Master’s program. The scholarship consists of a tuition fee waiver (worth €15,000) and a contribution to living expenses of €5,000 for each year of the two years of the Master’s program (a total of €10,000 for the 2 year Master’s program). The first year of the living expenses will be funded by the Holland Scholarship.

Who can apply
The scholarships are awarded to students who in comparison with other applicants, have?achieved the highest grades from their previous education at world-renowned universities outside the Netherlands.

You automatically enter the selection procedure for ALSP if you submit a complete application for a TU/e Master’s program before the scholarship deadline of February 1 AND are subsequently admitted to a TU/e Master’s program.

You must also meet the Terms and Conditions of the ALSP scholarship.

An application is complete when:

  • You have submitted the online application including all required uploads
  • Your application documents package have arrived at the TU/e.
  • You receive an email from the International Office confirming that both of the above have been received.

ArtEZ Talent Scholarship for Non-EU/EEA Students, Netherlands

For the study year 2018-2019 ArtEZ has the honour of offering the brightest and most excellent students from outside the European Economic Area an ArtEZ scholarship. The scholarships will be granted solely to new students, choosing to start their study in September 2018 and paying the higher tuition fee.

The scholarship amounts to €5.000,- per chosen student, per year, for the duration of the degree course. The scholarship is paid (or subtracted from the tuition fee), at the beginning of each study year, if and when, the student advances to the next study year.

To be eligible you must have passed the entrance exam and have been accepted into an ArtEZ degree course. The head of the ArtEZ course to which you have successfully applied, must justify your talent. Each course may specify their own criteria to characterize “rare talent”.
