The 2018 DJ Program Scholarship, was created to acknowledge and support students (newly enrolling DJ Program students) who demonstrate the ability successfully blend and transition between tracks, and can clearly articulate their professional goals in the music industry as a DJ.

International Musicians Merit Scholarship, Musicians Institute, USA

Musicians Institute has created the International Musicians Merit Scholarship specifically to assist advanced musicians from outside the United States with their educational development.

Award

  • The total scholarship award will be $1,000 per quarter.

Eligibility

  • Available to International students with a valid F-1 visa only.
  • Scholarship applicants must have submitted a complete Application for Admission by the scholarship application due date, and must be entering for the program for the first time.
  • May be applied to Certificate or Degree in Guitar, Bass, Vocal, Drum, or Keyboard Performance programs or Degree in Music Composition program. (MI Select and MI Select Express programs are not eligible.)
  • Award recipients will be notified two to three weeks after the application due date.

Requirements

  • Complete applications must be received by scholarship due date. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The total scholarship amount will be divided by the total number of quarters in the particular program and credited toward each quarter’s tuition in equal amounts for as long as the student maintains a 3.5 GPA.
  • Scholarships are non-transferable, and may not be applied to any person, program or start date other than the one for which it was awarded.

Melodic Soloing Scholarship, Musicians Institute, USA

The Melodic Soloing Scholarship was created to recognize and support the creative skills, talent, tone and taste required to play improvised melodic guitar solos in any style. The scholarship is generously funded by an MI Guitar Program alumnus (GIT class of 1980) and is provided to encourage and support the educational growth of a newly enrolling Associate of Arts (Guitar) program student.

Art Major Faculty Explore K-Arts (AMFEK), Korea National University of Arts

As an affiliated organization of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea(hereafter MCST), the Korea National University of Arts runs the short-term fellowship program for Art educators and professionals called Art Major Faculty ‘Explore K-Arts’ (hereafter, AMFEK). Achill Archaeological Field School Scholarship, National University of Ireland, Galway

For the first time in 2018 Achill Archaeological Field School will offer two $2000 scholarships for any of our 6-week or 12-week accredited excavation courses (Excavations and Recording 1, 2, or 7). The bursaries, which can be offset against course fees, aim to support students in their field school journey of discovery.

  • Students must have applied and completed enrollment for one of our 6 week or 12 week courses before the scholarship deadline of April 30 2018.

Who can apply
You can apply for a Training Fellowship in Public Health and Tropical Medicine if:

  • You are a national of a low- or middle-income country.
  • You have a degree in a subject relevant to public health or tropical medicine. Or you have a degree in medicine and are qualified to enter higher specialist training.
  • You have some initial research experience.

We’d expect you to register for a PhD if you’re awarded this fellowship. You may also apply if you have a PhD and no more than three years’ postdoctoral experience.

You must also:

If you’ve been away from research (eg for a career break, maternity leave, or long-term sick leave), we’ll allow for this when we consider your application. If you’ve taken formal maternity, paternity or adoption leave as the primary carer, or long-term sick leave, we’ll allow an extra six months for each period of leave when we consider your postdoctoral experience.
