FulbrightThe Fulbright Program is pleased to announce the opportunity for Indonesian academics and professionals who hold a doctoral or equivalent level degree to develop or update their research through interaction with distinguished counterparts at an accredited university, or a public or private, non-profit research institute in the United States for a period of three to six months.

Interested researchers who are currently permanent lecturers at an Indonesian university and hold a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, or NIDN should apply to the parallel program under Fulbright Grants for Indonesian Lecturers – Visiting Scholar Program.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The applicants should:

  • Be Indonesian citizens and resident in Indonesia throughout the nomination and selection process
  • Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
  • Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to, their chosen field of study
  • Be proficient in English
  • Have an outstanding academic record
  • Demonstrate that they can realistically conduct research in the US

Applicants are ineligible who:

  • Are employees, close family members of an employee, or dependents of an employee of AMINEF, the US Embassy, or the US Department of State
  • Are currently teaching, studying, or conducting research in the US or who have received a Fulbright grant within the past five years
  • Are permanent residents of the US, or be currently living in the US

Research Training Program international (RTPi) Scholarships, University of South Australia

Research Training Program international (RTPi) Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government and awarded to international candidates on the basis of academic merit and research potential.

An RTPi scholarship will cover your tuition fees and your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and provide a stipend (living allowance), but will not pay for travel expenses. A thesis allowance is funded to cover the cost of printing and binding the thesis.

Full Fee Scholarships, University of Adelaide, Australia

University of Adelaide AustraliaThe University may award Full Fee Scholarships to outstanding international students from any country to undertake postgraduate research.

Benefits are payment of full tuition fees for two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree (an extension is possible for doctoral programs only). No other allowances are provided.

Applicants must be nominated by their Principal Supervisor and Executive Dean.

Full fee scholarships will ONLY be allocated to international students who have been previously awarded a stipend by the host School, Faculty, or Research Institute. Full fee scholarships will not be awarded to individual “privately sponsored students” nor will they be granted to students supported by stipends provided to a sole individual without a formal agreement between the University and the Sponsor. This requirement shall not apply to students nominated in grant applications made to recognised funding bodies where a formal application is subject to peer review. Students in receipt of overseas government funding will be deemed ineligible for a fee waiver unless a Memorandum of Understanding exists between the University and the Sponsor to cover such awards.

Applicants must also meet the minimum English Language Proficiency requirements for direct entry to their academic program, hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree, and rank competitively against successful applicants in the current International Scholarship Order of Merit list.

Postgraduate Research Studentships, Queen Mary University of London, UK

QMUL offers research studentships to the value of around £12 million to support PhD students each year. These include our own prestigious QMUL Principal’s Postgraduate Research Studentships, as well as Research Council UK (RCUK) funded studentships, funding from industry, and from research charities and cultural institutions.

The Postgraduate Research Studentships set out on this page typically provide funding for up to three years of PhD study. The studentships cover tuition fees and provide maintenance paid at a rate of c£16,000 pa. We anticipate offering up to 100 studentships for entry in 2019. They include:

  • QMUL Principal’s Postgraduate Research Studentships are available to applicants of any nationality, for PhDs in any area of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering. There is no separate application process for these awards. Applications must be received by 31 January 2019, with the exception of applications for Law which must be received by 7 December 2018.
  • RCUK Research Studentships are generally restricted to Home and EU students researching particular subject areas. In general, there is no separate application process for these awards and applications must be received by 31 January 2019.
  • Research Studentships funded through industry, research charities, and cultural organisations are typically tied to a particular PhD project and have variable eligibility criteria. They have deadlines throughout the year and will be advertised at www.findaphd.com or on departmental websites.
