University of Kent UKKent Business School is pleased to offer a range of hardship bursaries to Home, EU and Overseas postgraduate taught students who require financial support in order to undertake and complete their master’s studies.

Criteria

  • This funding is available to all applicants who are applying for a Kent Business School Masters programme
  • Any bursary award will be determined based on an assessment of your supporting hardship statement

A hardship bursary can only be considered after you have submitted a formal application to study onto a Master’s programme at Kent Business School and received a formal offer for 2019 entry

You can apply for the bursary via your Applicant Portal by submitting a supporting statement describing your current circumstance, detailing why you require the extra funding and should be considered for a hardship bursary.

Kent Engineering and Digital Arts Postgraduate Scholarship, University of Kent, UK

A maximum of 4 scholarships will be awarded to overseas applicants across all postgraduate taught and research programmes in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts. They will be awarded based on outstanding merit who meet all the criteria below.

Applicants must:-

  • Be in receipt of a conditional offer for either a postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programme in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts for September 2019
  • Firmly accept an offer by 31 May 2019
  • A total of 4 scholarships worth £4,000.00 are available to all overseas applicants
  • Shortlisted applicants (with the exception of research applicants) will be required to attend an interview (or via Skype for overseas applicants)
  • Scholarship holders would be expected to undertake reasonable duties to support the external profile of the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, for instance assisting with Open Days, outreach with the local community, working with the International Development team and promoting the School of Engineering and Digital Arts in their home countries
  • This award can be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by the University of Kent
  • The scholarship will be paid at the end of the first three months of registration.

Quantitative Social Science PhD Scholarship, University of Kent, UK

PhD degrees which apply:

  • Sociology
  • Social Policy
  • Criminology

Successful candidates will have obtained a 1st or good 2.1 undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, and ordinarily an MA or MSc at Merit or Distinction level. The scholarship covers tuition fees at the postgraduate standard home/EU 2018-19 rate, in addition to an annual maintenance stipend set at the 2018-19 rate (in 2017-18 this was £14,553 per annum) and an additional allowance of £3,000 per year to enable you to undertake training in and to apply advanced quantitative methods.

Master Scholarships in Politics and International Relations, University of Kent, UK

The School of Politics and International Relations has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a small number of scholarships for entry at taught master’s level.

Our scholarships are open to all overseas applicants on MA taught programmes offered by the School at the Canterbury campus.

We have two types of scholarship are available. The first will reduce tuition fees for overseas students to £10,000 (an award of £4,670), we intend to make three awards of this scholarship. The second will offer a 10% reduction on overseas fees.

We will award the Scholarships on the basis of academic excellence and will consider students with a 2.1 or above for an award.

The University of Kent recognises the role that music and culture plays in the development of the individual and the benefits cultural activities bring to the wider University community.

The Music Performances Scholarships and Development Awards recognise and encourage excellence, and are awarded to around 15 new applicants each year. In return, the University expects the recipient to make a major contribution to the musical life of the campus. Scholarships and awards will normally be allocated only to those whose musical interests and talents can be supported within the University community.
