The Claremont Teacher’s College Memorial Award: Physical Education, Sports Science and Human Biology is open to full-time ECU Bachelor of Science (Sports Science) Honours, Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) Honours, Bachelor of Education (specialising in Physical Education) fourth year students and Grad Dip Education (Secondary – majoring in Physical Education).

- Honours students must supply a written summary of the purpose, nature and significance of their proposed research area
- 4th year Education students must supply a written summary indicating their goals for physical education teaching

- Based on academic merit and the purpose, nature and significance of the proposed research area or the goals set out for fourth year physical education teaching
