Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) International Summer Program

UUM is the 6th Malaysian public university. It is the only university that was set up to offer solely management education from the very beginning of its establishment. It is located in a valley of lush tropical forests, embraced by blue hills, and watered by two rivers that flow along the middle of the campus. The rivers, Sungai Sintok and Sungai Badak, complete the scenic beauty of the natural environment, affording a myriad vistas of verdant. Situated far from the bustling city environment, UUM has ensured a sustainable learning environment and currently housing 20,000 students. It is also located only 5 minutes’ drive from Thailand border.

Having to have about 2600 international students from 49 countries, it is with a great pleasure to inform you about the upcoming International Programs at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

UUM International summer program (UUM-ISP)
Program duration: 13 – 19 August 2017

UUM-ISP offered to all international students who wishes to learn about leadership and also Malaysian diverse cultures.

Details of the program:

• 3 credit academic classes (1. Leadership management; 2. Cross cultural management; 3. Introduction to Malay language)
• FREE Homestay experience
• FREE visits to historical places such as “Lembah Bujang & Mount Jerai”
• Program fee – USD400 / person (Basic program)

Summer Program (ENGLISH course)
Program duration: 3 weeks
Commencement:
January (Application deadline: 15^th November)
July (Application deadline: 15^th May)
August (Application deadline: 15^th June)

UUM Intensive English program offers an enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills. It allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. This course covers speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, including grammar and vocabulary. The main emphasis of this course is on practical communication to build up your vocabulary and help to develop fluency and confidence.

Program’s fee:

• Package fee from MYR 1500-MYR 3500 which includes English program, accommodation, meals, certificate, ground transportation throughout program and excursion
• The program fees excludes return airfare and insurance
