We’ve got more than $500,000 in scholarships to give away to Canada’s most creative and aspiring talents.

We offer industry-leading programs in animation, film production, VFX, programming, makeup, acting, screenwriting, motion, interactive, and game design. You could be our next scholarship student.

Scholarship Details
Scholarships are available in amounts between $500 and $10,000 for the January to June 2018 start dates.

Apply now for a one-year VFS program in Vancouver, Canada, and find out if you qualify for our limited-time scholarship fund. VFS Search Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis – so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances.

Please Note: Scholarships are not currently being offered for the Makeup Design for Film + Television, Classical Animation, Sounds Design and Animation + Concept Art programs.

How Do I Apply?

  • Complete the online application process for your program of choice and submit all required documents to VFS Admissions. Apply online here.
  • After you apply, an advisor will be in touch to email you the VFS Search Scholarship application PDF. You will need to complete and sign the Scholarship application and return it to us.

Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted before midnight on December 15, 2017.

Rules and Regulations:

  • VFS Search Scholarships represent a tuition reduction for eligible one-year programs at Vancouver Film School, and not a monetary award.
  • Recipients must meet all admissions requirements and be accepted into VFS.
  • We welcome all students to apply for the scholarship but students can only apply one tuition reduction towards their tuition costs. If a student has a previous tuition reduction they can choose to apply the reduction of greater value.
  • Tuition reductions cover part of the costs for tuition and specific progarm supplies. The recipient is responsible for all additional costs necessary to complete the program of study.
  • This scholarship campaign is intended to increase awareness of the career path for students interested in the entertainment and creative technology industries.
  • VFS reserves the right to cancel this initiative at any time, at its sole discretion, in the event of any administrative conflict or error. VFS reserves the right to modify the rules of this campaign in any way or at any time as long as reasonable notice is given. This program is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws and regulations.
