Wimbledon Trust Bursaries, University of the Arts London, UK

The Wimbledon Trust Bursaries of £5000 each are available for two Home, EU or International students accepted on any Master’s Degree course at Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London.

One of the bursaries will be offered to recent graduates from Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon and the second will be offered to new students. The bursaries will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit and, will be a contribution towards tuition fees.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

All applications must be supported with an academic or professional reference.

To be eligible for The Wimbledon Trust Bursaries, applicants must have accepted a place on a full-time Master’s degree at Wimbledon College of Arts, commencing October 2017.

The Assessment Procedure for Applications
Your application will be initially assessed by University of the Arts London Student Funding Service based on the financial information supplied in your application and ranked according to financial need. Further evidence may be requested at a later date.

Applications will be assessed by the College selection panel who will make the final selections by marking the quality of application, the preparedness for high quality study in the discipline area, financial need and the articulation of how the Wimbledon Trust Bursaries will contribute to the applicant’s studies.

The selection panel’s decision is final and no correspondence whatsoever will be accepted or considered once the decision has been made.

Terms of the Wimbledon Trust Bursaries
The bursaries are worth £5000 each and are a contribution to tuition fees for one Home, EU or International Student.

Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award to the University’s Tuition Fees account.

Applicants must enrol on the course in the same academic year for which they have applied for funding. If any applicant is unable to do this for any reason, the Scholarship will be withdrawn.

Award recipients are expected to attend a small number of College and University events promoting scholarship support to potential donors, and to meet with scholarship supporters at these events, during and wherever convenient after completing their course.

The award will be terminated if registration/enrolment lapses on any grounds, other than temporary suspension of study due to extenuating circumstances, which must be drawn to the attention of the relevant Course Director at the College through formal procedures and upheld by the College’s Extenuating Circumstances Panel.

This award is purely discretionary, and therefore no applicant for the award should make any decisions with respect to their enrolment, financial arrangements etc. relying on the outcome of their application for such an award until the winner is formally notified.

Closing Date
All applications must be received by 1pm, Friday 28 July 2017. There is only one closing date for applications each year.

We are unable to accept applications that arrive late. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Informing applicants of the final decision
All applicants will be informed of the final decision via email.
